Cyrus also recently created a countdown on her website that counts down to New Year’s Day. Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party coincides with her celebration special, which will premiere on Peacock and NBC on December 31. Cyrus Talks About Playing as Dolly Parton in a Biopic
Cyrus’ real-life godmother has played a big role in country music today, and an upcoming biopic about her needs a fitting actress. In addition, Cyrus already has the singing abilities to portray the country superstar, not to mention the family connections.
“Me and Dolly have never really spoken, honestly, about me playing Dolly because I feel like I’m already doing it.” Cyrus said. “I don’t know what they’re gonna do to me. I’m sucked, I’m tucked and plucked, just like she taught me.”
While Cyrus is unlikely to portray Dolly in a film anytime soon, the two will co-host NBC’s second annual Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party special. The TV special will air live on Saturday, Dec. 31, from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on NBC and Peacock.
