Mel B, Sofia Vergara Participate in AGT Early Release Audition
Darien Johnson and Scott Mathison are weightlifters who connected on social media through their extreme workout videos. In a clip shared by AGT ahead of Tuesday’s new episode, judges Mel B and Sofia Vergara get involved in the pair’s audition.
The two women stood back to back on the stage while Darien and Scott prepared for the trick. Fellow judge Simon Cowell couldn’t help but make a teasing remark, asking Howie Mandel, “If you had to lose one, which one would it be?”
Both Mel B and Vergara appeared frightened, holding each other’s hands as Darien and Scott got ready for the trick, which involved throwing a heavy weight back and forth several times over their heads. They kept their eyes closed tightly as the men kept throwing the weight.
Afterward, Mel B called the two men “proper fit and hot.” Mandel said they “checked a lot of boxes” with their act. Cowell called it “surprising and very, very difficult.” All four AGT judges voted “yes” to sending them through.

Auditions Will Continue on Tuesday
America’s Got Talent took a break from Season 20 auditions this week to air a special looking back at the show’s greatest Golden Buzzers. However, auditions will continue on Tuesday night at 8/7c on NBC, with even more new acts to enjoy.
There should still be one or two Golden Buzzers we have yet to see this season — a second from judge Howie Mandel, and possibly also a group Golden Buzzer. Who will receive the honor? We’ll have to wait and see.
