Mel B is officially returning to her spot on the America’s Got Talent judging panel. With the finale of AGT around the corner, the show has officially announced the judges for their newest spin off, America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League.

Mel B Returns to the America’s Got Talent Judging Panel

Longtime fans are absolutely freaking out over America’s Got Talent‘s newest announcement. This will be The Spice Girl’s return to the judging panel since 2019. For those who may not know, Mel B was on AGT from Season 8 to 13, and returned for AGT: The Champions Season 1.

On September 21, America’s Got Talent confirmed their judging panel and host for their upcoming spin off. The video begins with Mel B jokingly saying “The rumor is true, I’m back!”

Then, the full judging and hosting lineup is shown. Alongside Mel B will be Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel. In addition, Terry Crews will host the series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, AGT: Fantasy League will feature “each judge choosing from a pool of past Got Talent winners, finalists and fan favorites from versions of the show across the world (viewers will have some input in determining the acts).”

In a change of pace, judges will be mentoring their acts over the season. If one of their selections win, they will receive bragging rights. So basically think The Voice coaching format, with AGT judges and acts.

Earlier in the live shows, Cowell announced the spin off, not mentioning much else at the time. It’s clear that this series will be a mix of both The Champions and All Stars, with an added twist. This series is set to air in the spring NBC schedule, in place of AGT All-Stars in 2024.

AGT: Fantasy League Was Confirmed in Early September

In early September, AGT: Fantasy League was confirmed as the series’ newest spin off following AGT All-Stars. Fans noticed the announcement of this series when a summary was posted to audience member website, oncameraaudiences.com.

“This new global extension will welcome some of the best acts to ever grace the “Got Talent” stages from all over the world…but with a twist! For the first time in AGT history, fans will be given the voting power right from the start,” the website description reads.

On Camera Audiences is encouraging people to submit their basic information, so they can be notified when tickets release. According to the website, Fantasy League will begin in October this year.

Simon Cowell Hopes to See Drake Milligan on AGT: Fantasy League

In an earlier Live Show result episode, Simon Cowell opened up about the upcoming series. This moment happened after Drake Milligan’s recent guest performance.

Following Cowell’s comments, Milligan explained that he’d always “come back for you.” Cowell then questioned Milligan for saying always.

“You’re going to be seeing us sooner rather than you think because we are about to announce another show,” Cowell said. “It is about America bringing back the best ever contestants, so hopefully, I have a feeling we’ll be seeing each other again.”
