‘Masked Singer’ Winner T-Pain Learns How to Check His DMs

Being a celebrity can be pretty time consuming, especially when you’re as successful as T-Pain. We can understand how a few DMs can fall through the cracks. That’s what happened to T-Pain. He recently issued a hilarious public apology in a viral video.
In 2019, T-Pain appeared on, and won, the inaugural season of The Masked Singer under the guise of The Monster. Since then, he’s been keeping busy with many business ventures, including a hosting gig with iHeartMedia. Maybe that could be why it took him a while to figure out how to check his DMs.
T-Pain Misses DMs from Long List of Celebs
The video caption sets the stage for T-Pain to showcase his newfound knowledge. The rapper starts off the video with the statement, “I was today years old when I found out about the request folder on Instagram that’s full of celebs trying to reach me”.
The rapper writes “I swear!! I’m just now seeing all these messages and mentions TODAY!!!! How do I super apologize? Press conference? Town hall meeting? I’m dumb.”
He even makes a note to shout out some names that stuck out to him. In the video, he shows genuine shock and writes, “Dude is that Fergie?!! smh.”
The list of celebrities shown go on and on, including Viola Davis and Diplo. Even some networks and shows tried to reach out, like ESPN, The Talk, and Nickelodeon. The Masked Singer Alum apparently has been ignoring messages for years. Thankfully, it was unintentional.
T-Pain Apologizes for Missing DMs: “I’m Stupid”
He issued a public apology and stated, ” I apologize to everybody on this list and the hundreds of others I couldn’t fit in this video.”
T-Pain further explains that the reason he missed the messages was because he did not know that there was a requests folder. He assumed that all DMs showed up in the normal folder and he “didn’t have to go digging.”
T-Pain concluded his video by admitting, “yup… I’m stupid.”
