Who is the Goldfish? ‘The Masked Singer’ Prediction & Clues!

The Masked Singer is FINALLY back for season 11. In addition to 16 new costumes this season, we also have a new panelist joining us from The Masked Singer UK, Rita Ora! And one of the most buzzworthy, talked about contestants this season is the Goldfish. Her flowy, orange dress and glam face an hairdo make her a standout and her voice makes her a legit contender for the Golden Mask.
But who is the celebrity under the mask? Here’s everything we know so far about the Goldfish plus some early predictions.
Clues on The Masked Singer Season 11
In Goldfish’s clues, she started by saying, “You finally caught me in The Masked Singer net,” implying she’s someone who has been predicted before. When she first started out, she “made a splash overnight,” she claimed as paparazzi flash cameras at her. But it made her feel like she was “living in a fish bowl.” We then see the Goldfish eating heart-shaped candy out of a jar.
At that point, she could play it safe or dive into “deeper, darker, edgier waters,” so she “took the plunge.” We see the Goldfish spinning a ship’s wheel or helm. It was a risk, but she swam against the current and broke the mold, she says as she blows a kiss, making two lipstick prints on a wall. She then walks over to a glass slipper. Hollywood can be “a little soul sucking,” so she’s “proud [she] kept [her] head on [her] shoulders.”

After her performance, her last clue was a gold record. She explained, “Let the record show that gold is my lucky color.”
Popular Guesses for The Masked Singer Goldfish
Panelists had their own thoughts about who the Goldfish is. On the premiere episode, they predicted Hilary Duff, Lucy Hale, Lea Michele, Selena Gomez, or Carly Rae Jepsen.
The Internet is going wild with ideas about who the Goldfish could be. Many fans are commenting that it’s Vanessa Hudgens or Ashley Tisdale from High School Musical. Other listeners are convinced this is Trisha Paytas or Kristen Bell. And some have even predicted this could be Idina Menzel or Kristin Chenoweth of Wicked/Broadway fame.

It’s clear that this person is a singer to some extent, and most people online seem to think she has a background in musical theater because of the theatrics during her performance. But there’s definitely no consensus on this one!
Who is the Goldfish on The Masked Singer?
Now with all the different predictions, there was a LOT to investigate here. But we came to one conclusion and that is that the Goldfish is…
Vanessa Hudgens!
All the clues make sense! And before you comment that she’s pregnant so it can’t be her, I want to note that this season taped in September-October of 2023.
Vanessa Hudgens has definitely been a guess on The Masked Singer before, which explains the opening line of her clues. She made a splash overnight when she was on High School Musical, and for sure was captured by paparazzi a lot. The candy jar is a nod to her role as Candy in the movie Spring Breakers, which also ties into her “plunge” into “edgier waters.” After Disney, she went towards more adult roles, looking to pivot her image away from the teen pop star she’d been known as.
The glass slipper could be referring to the fact that she did a small, local production of Cinderella or, more likely, her role in The Princess Switch movies. A ship’s wheel could be for her husband, Cole Tucker, who was drafted to the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team. Then, the two lipstick prints that we saw point to her two nominations for Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards! Finally, the gold record makes sense because Vanessa Hudgens’ debut album, V, was certified Gold in 2007.
