PREVIEW: ‘The Masked Singer’ Season 5 Performance LEAKED!

With The Masked Singer season 5 premiere happening next week, we finally have a preview of the first performance. And it confirms that we have another duo: the Russian Dolls! Bringing some serious boy band vibes, but also a lot of talent, this season already seems stacked. Literally! (Get it, because they’re Russian Dolls?)
Here’s the leaked preview of their first performance.
Honestly, it was a great vocal all around! They both have impressive voices and their harmonies were on point. This can’t be the first time we’re hearing them sing together. And “Shallow” isn’t an easy song to sing either! But they handled it well and did it justice. Plus, it feels like there could be more up the Russian Dolls’ sleeves. The second one literally popped out from squatting under the costume? I could’ve done without the moving animatronic faces though.
Who Are The Russian Dolls?
Speculation has already started around which celebrities The Masked Singer Russian Dolls could be. Fans have noted that they sound a lot like country duo Dan + Shay. Others picked up on some boy band vibes, guessing it could be two members of the Backstreet Boys or Hanson.
Personally, I like the Hanson guess. My sister was a huge fan growing up so I listened to a lot of them and it sounds like their musical style. Plus, we haven’t seen anyone from Hanson on the show yet! Maybe The Masked Singer season 5 could finally be their chance. And if a third Russian Doll pops up at any point, that will definitely confirm these suspicions. Could I also throw out the possibility that it’s Nick and Drew Lachey from 98 Degrees? I would love to see them on the show and it makes sense, since they’re brothers too.
