Mariah Carey and her boyfriend Bryan Tanaka are rumored to have broken up after he was absent from her recent Christmas shows. The couple has been dating since 2016, having worked together for years before that.

According to People, Tanaka was absent for Carey’s recent Merry Christmas One and All! Tour, which kicked off in November. A source told the outlet that Carey will be in Aspen for the holidays without Tanaka, who usually accompanies her.
Just last year, Carey shared a photo of her and Tanaka having dinner together on Boxing Day, writing, “Every day is a celebration!” However, the singer recently told People that last year’s Christmas “wasn’t the greatest,” adding, “I’m thankful for them all, but it wasn’t my most fun version of Christmas ever.”
The last time the couple was seen together was in March of this year, for Carey’s birthday. Tanaka shared a sweet message for Carey on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of the two of them. He wrote, “This is one of my favorite pictures. Ever. Happy Anniversary my Beautiful Queen.”

Carey Was Previously Married to Nick Cannon
Before she dated Tanaka, Carey was married to The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon for six years. In 2011, the pair welcomed twins together, Monroe and Moroccan. Although Carey and Cannon split in 2014, their divorce wasn’t finalized until 2016.
After her split from Cannon, Carey was briefly engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer. They announced their engagement in January 2016, but they had called it quits by October of that year. Around the time she split from Packer, Carey started dating Tanaka.
Carey and Tanaka, a creative director, have been together since 2016, having first met 10 years before when working on Carey’s Adventures of Mimi Tour. The couple briefly broke up in 2017 before getting back together.
