Luke Bryan just announced that his popular Farm Tour is back on. The event provides children growing up on farms with scholarships to attend college. Bryan’s goal is to help these children build a career that can lead to better opportunities for their families in the future. The American Idol judge will be performing at local farms across the United States with an all-star lineup.
Who is Performing with Luke Bryan on His Farm Tour?
Bryan is currently on his Proud To Be Right Here Tour this summer but decided it was finally time to bring Farm Tour back. The 45-year-old will be headlining six concerts in September with the help of some special guests. Dylan Scott, Whitney Duncan, The Peach Pickers, and DJ Rock will also be performing. The Peach Pickers and DJ Rock are Farm Tour veterans who have taken turns opening for Bryan at the event since 2012.
Farm Tour was canceled last year due to the pandemic. The current ACM Entertainer of the Year grew up in a farming family in Georgia. He knows firsthand that farming takes a lot of hard work, especially during the difficult year many businesses have had. Running the Farm Tour for the 12th time is bittersweet.
“After the challenges we have all faced in the last year with so many people losing their jobs, struggling to put food on their tables, food supply chains jeopardized, grocery stores struggling to keep food on the shelves in some areas, it is so apparent to me, and I hope everyone, why our farmers are truly the backbone of our country,” Bryan said. “They never stopped providing for all of us. Ever. It’s time to thank our farmers, once again. It’s going to mean even more to me this year.”
Bryan is Helping Fight Hunger Across the U.S.
Prior to announcing his Farm Tour lineup, Bayer extended its partnership with Bryan and their campaign to help fight hunger. Bryan is asking fans to use #HerestotheFarmer on social media to show support for farmers across America. Each time the hashtag is used, Bayer will donate a meal to someone in need through Feeding America.
Bryan will set out on the Farm Tour on September 9 at Statz Bros. Farm in Wisconsin. This will be his second time taking the stage at this farm which he last played at in 2019. Bryan will be rounding out the tour at Kubiak Family Farms in Michigan on September 18. Tickets are currently on sale.
