‘American Idol’ Judge Luke Bryan Opens Up in New Docuseries ‘My Dirt Road Diary’

Luke Bryan fans everywhere are in for a treat. IMDb TV is set to premiere a five-part docuseries about the American Idol judge and country superstar. Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary takes audiences on a journey from the singer’s early life to his rise to country music fame. The series, which premieres August 6, will dive deep into the struggles and triumphs of Bryan’s climb to achieve success.
In 2001, Bryan packed up his life from a small town in Georgia and moved to Nashville. In his efforts to pursue his dreams, he performed during long nights at bars and clubs. He was finally noticed by a representative from Capitol Records and was signed to the label.
The docuseries is named after the final song on Bryan’s 2013 album Crash My Party. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 (his first album to do so) and went certified platinum.
Bryan Credits Success to His Fans
“The devotion and support of my fans are the reason I have made it this far in my career,” Bryan told Deadline. “Life can be tough, and the past 15 months have been very difficult for everyone. I hope in sharing this raw look into my life that it may be an encouragement to others. Through the heartaches, triumphs can come.”
My Dirt Road Diary is a look into the foundation of who Bryan is today. Home footage, personal interviews, and family commentary will all be featured in the heartfelt series. The trailer for My Dirt Road Diary already reveals some intimate moments from the life of the singer. The relationship with his wife Caroline and lessons he has learned from his time on the road are highlighted on screen.
“I learned that the journey isn’t only about you, but about everyone who has helped you along the way,” Bryan said in the trailer.
Bryan has made it to the top of country charts, sold out arenas, and now sits at the judges’ table on American Idol.
