Luke Bryan Cancels Shows Due to Illness
Bryan is currently on the road for his Country On tour. He was due to perform in Salt Lake City on Friday, but he took to social media not long before the show to let fans know that it had been rescheduled for August 31.
The singer wrote that he had been dealing with a head cold “for the past couple of weeks” and was “just not getting better.” According to Country Living, Bryan returned to social media five hours later to postpone his Saturday show in Boise.
Bryan wrote that he had been advised by doctors to “rest my voice and get better” for one more day. He added, “There is nothing I love more than to play live shows and I am so disappointed to not be able to do this for you.”
Unfortunately, Bryan had to cancel another show on Sunday. This time, he was unable to perform at the Watershed Festival in George, Washington. Bryan wrote that it had been “such a frustrating weekend.”

Lainey Wilson Fills in as Headliner
“I am not back singing — can hardly even talk still,” Bryan wrote about the state of his voice on Sunday. “This festival is one of the most beautiful places we perform and one of the most fun crowds always. I know my friends on the show will bring a great time for you! Show them all what you got.”
On Sunday, President of Live Nation Country Brian O’Connell shared that Lainey Wilson would be filling in for Bryan as the headliner during the Watershed Festival. O’Connell also explained that concertgoers would receive a partial refund for their tickets.
Bryan’s next scheduled performance is this Thursday, August 10, in Rogers, Arkansas. Hopefully the singer will be feeling better by then, and fans will be able to see their favorite artist in concert.
