Lionel Richie Announces New Tour with Earth, Wind & Fire

American Idol judge Lionel Richie has officially announced that he’s going on tour later this year with the iconic band Earth, Wind & Fire. The performances kick off this August, and tickets are available now.

“Well, my friends, the time has come to announce a tour,” Richie says in a new video posted to Instagram. “Not just any tour, but the tour I’ve been trying to do for years. And now it’s going to actually happen.”

The tour will be called Sing a Song All Night Long, which is a mashup of the Earth, Wind & Fire song title “Sing a Song” with Richie’s song “All Night Long.” You can see a list of scheduled performances and buy tickets on Live Nation.

Richie will be performing around the United States and Canada, with dates running from early August through mid-September. He’ll visit cities such as Chicago, New York, Toronto, and Atlanta. That includes a show at Madison Square Garden on August 12.

The Singer Is Touring Europe This Summer

Before he heads out on tour with Earth, Wind & Fire in August, Richie is also gearing up to go on tour in Europe this summer. He’ll be visiting various cities in the UK and Ireland, as well as stops in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and more.

In addition to filming American Idol Season 21 with fellow judges Katy Perry and Luke Bryan, Richie also performed shows at Wynn Las Vegas in January.

Not to mention, Richie was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last November. The singer has released 10 solo albums and won four Grammy Awards over the course of his career.
