In a musically combined force, Lindsey Stirling and Walk Off The Earth have released their first ever song collaboration “Long Way Home.” This brand-new drop is a sonically soothing listen, yearning for an unrushed hike for love.

“Long Way Home” marks the first time that Stirling and the alt-pop band created and released a song together. Written alongside Sarah Blackwood, Gianni Luminati Nicassio, Tokyo Speirs, the creative collab intends to elicit a feeling of remembrance.

“It’s about spontaneous adventure, exploring unfamiliar places and creating lasting memories with the one you love,” the band stated. “The references to the lemon trees and the stars in their eyes evoke a sense of enchantment and serenity. The idea that every moment spent with that person is precious and worth cherishing, even if it means deviating from the usual path.”

Furthermore, Walk Off The Earth explained that the idea of taking the long way home bespeaks the inclination to seize the moment. The song is thus a reminder to take things one step at a time.


As of writing, “Long Way Home” has reached over 300,000 streams on Spotify. Fans have also expressed their fascination about the collab, particularly praising the Stirling’s violin skills.

Clearly, Stirling did not hold back in showing off her virtuoso prowess. Her musicality flawlessly complemented Walk Off The Earth’s collective sound, humbly taking its listeners to a comforting realm.
