Prime Studios releases a new trailer for Lizzo’s newest series, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, ahead of its March release. This unscripted series features 10 hopeful women competing in the ultimate dance competition. The winners of the competition will join Lizzo on her upcoming world tour.
This dance competition is a brand new unscripted series as part of Lizzo’s first-look deal with Amazon Studios. The series follows 10 women moving into the Big Grrrls House, where they reside during the competition. In this house, they must prove that they have what it takes to join Lizzo on her tour.
The popular singer originally shared that this series sets out to give value to big grrrls through dance. Lizzo chose hopeful dancers that have a similar body type to take part in this competition. While this is totally a dance competition, Lizzo also shared that she’s creating a team of bad b*tches.
Lizzo will have some help testing these dancers abilities within the series. Legendary choreographers Tanisha Scott and O.G. Big Grrrls Chawnta’ Marie Van, Shirlene Quigley, and Grace Holden. There will also be several special guests in the series. These guest include choreographer Charm La’Donna, body movement expert Rashida KhanBey Miller, and multi-platinum singer/songwriter SZA.

Along with more details on the series, the network released another trailer with Lizzo’s iconic hit “Tempo” in the background. This trailer explains the show itself and shows off plenty of footage from the different challenges. Within the video, Lizzo explains that she’s looking for confidence and sexuality in this competition. It’s not just about the dance for this series.
Watch Out for the Big Grrrls strives to encourage self love and expression, no matter the body type. In a previous preview, the popular singer is seen encouraging the women. She expresses that it’s hard to have self love in a world doesn’t see you as beautiful.

Lizzo is the perfect example of a celebrity that doesn’t let criticism get to her. Even though she is a popular singer, internet trolls remind her daily that her body type isn’t perceived as beautiful in society. Even though haters are out there, this singer continues to be successful in her endeavours. She’s the perfect person to preach this message to these women and the world.
While this series doesn’t lack in the drama category, it’s important to remember that there isn’t just one winner. Lizzo is looking for multiple background dancers for her tour, so the stakes are still high. Even though there will be multiple winners, these women are extremely competitive.
Watch Out for the Big Grrrls is an eight episode Amazon original unscripted series. It will be exclusively available on Prime Video in the U.S. on March 25. In May this series will be available in other countries and territories around the world.
