American Idol Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina recently participated in the celebrity survival show Beyond the Edge. Unfortunately, Alaina was forced to leave the show early after suffering an injury to her foot during filming.

Lauren Alaina Leaves ‘Beyond the Edge’ After Injury

During Wednesday’s new episode of the show, Alaina fell and hurt her foot. In a clip from the show posted on Instagram, Alaina can be heard saying that she’s “in a lot of pain” and “can’t wiggle my toe.”

Unfortunately, Alaina was required to leave the show as a health and safety precaution. Alaina told Entertainment Tonight that she “begged” the show to let her stay, but ultimately believes it was “the right call,” explaining that her foot “was not well for a very long time.”

Alaina was confident in her ability to win the show, saying the other contestants “should be glad” she was disqualified. “I was undefeated when I got hurt,” she said. “I was crushing it.”

Alaina Enjoyed Her Time on the Show

Other celebrities competing on Beyond the Edge include Full House star Jodie Sweetin, former NFL player Ray Lewis, and supermodel Paulina Porizkova. The stars are competing for charity in the jungles of Panama.

“It was amazing to feel connection with people again, because we’ve had a lot of disconnecting and disconnection in the last few years,” Alaina told ET. “So to be able to get dropped off in the jungle and to find true, genuine love and connection, it was really inspiring.”

The country star has been keeping busy off the show. She was recently a mentor on the current season of American Idol, and she announced that she has parted ways with her record label after 11 years. Alaina is also currently on tour.

You can watch Beyond the Edge Wednesday nights on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
