Everyone was shocked to see Larry the Cable Guy unmasked as Baby on The Masked Singer. The panelists were in totally awe as this comedic legend’s head popped out of the costume. We knew this celebrity had to be special since they went all out as their character, but no one was expecting this one.
The panelists have guessed Larry the Cable Guy throughout many seasons and now he finally had his time to shine on The Masked Singer stage. Baby took to The Masked Singer in a terrifying costume. Not only did Larry the Cable Guy put on a great show, he went all out by actually talking like a baby.
Why did Larry the Cable Guy Choose the Terrifying Baby Costume?
After his elimination, Larry the Cable Guy was the special guest on The Nick Cannon Show. In this interview, Cannon had quite a few questions for the comedian about his time on the show.
When asked why he chose this terrifying costume, it became apparent that the answer was simple. The fit. Larry the Cable Guy chuckled before explaining his thought process fully.
“One year everybody thought I was the banana. I’m like look at me I can’t fit in a banana suit, If I’m going to be on there I’ll be in a watermelon or something,” he said. “So they showed me this baby suit and I said well you know what I could easily get in the baby suit. Shoot you could have put four of the commodores in there too.”
He ended up with the most terrifying costume in The Masked Singer history, the reasoning behind it is quite funny. Little did the people on set know, their “big baby” jokes were totally valid, he wanted a big costume!
So many people had no idea who Baby was because he had a mix of a southern accent, baby talk, and a muffled voice. But in reality, Larry the Cable Guy wanted to make sure no one recognized his voice. He is well known for his vocal work in the Disney movie, Cars and has acted closely with Jenny McCarthy. Larry the Cable Guy had no other option other than creativity. On the show, he did take complete credit in the fact that he pulled this technique off flawlessly.
Even though he was unmasked rather quickly in the season, none of the panelists knew who he was. Personally, I believe it’s all about your game technique, and his was great. He wasn’t the last person to be unmasked, but I’m sure his unmasking was surprising to many people.
