Kelsea Ballerini, Fletcher Star in Steamy Music Video for Song ‘Better Version’

Former The Voice guest coach Kelsea Ballerini recently teamed up with former The X Factor star Fletcher on the music video for Fletcher’s song “Better Version.” The video shows the singers in relationships that go from passionate to crumbling.

“There’s these feelings that I get when I’m by myself, like this radical independence and freedom,” Fletcher says to start the video. “And I only get them when I’m alone. And those are the feelings that I just feel like you should never let die.”
The video then shows two parallel stories — one with Fletcher, and the other with Ballerini. At first, they’re shown in happy relationships, kissing their co-stars Ava Capri and Gavin Leatherwood. But things start to fall apart as the video goes on.
“‘Cause baby, I loved you at your worst / And I fixed your heart, but mine still hurts,” the pair sings on the song’s chorus. “And now some other person / Is gonna get the better version of you.”
The last line of the song flips things around, as they sing, “And now some other person / Is gonna get the better version of me.” At this point, the two singers bump into each other while eating at a diner.

Fans Are Loving the New Video
Fans shared their love for the new music video after its release, with one fan writing on YouTube, “Cari and Kelsea out here making us cry at 10am.. This is beautiful!!” Another fan called it “an utter, breathtaking, heartbreaking, gut wrenching masterpiece.”
Some fans even seem to be shipping Fletcher and Ballerini, with one commenter writing, “You’ve gotta be f*cking kidding me….if this is a soft launch I’m sooooo here for it.”
Last year, Ballerini got divorced from husband Morgan Evans. As for Fletcher, she recently went viral for her sexy performance with former The Voice coach Miley Cyrus on New Year’s Eve.
