Kelly Clarkson Says Her Newest Album ‘Chemistry’ Can Be “Very Bad For You”

International pop superstar Kelly Clarkson has revealed a few exciting details about her newest album, Chemistry. This project, according to the singer, embodies a legion of emotions, ranging from good to ugly.
Kelly Clarkson Reveals Official Title of Her Divorce Album
For years, Clarkson’s fans could only listen to her previously released songs, alongside her sensational Kellyoke performances from The Kelly Clarkson Show. This year however, they are finally reveling in on the singer’s extremely personal journey converted into music.
In a video she posted on Twitter and Instagram, Clarkson announces the title of her divorce album, Chemistry. Apparently, ahead of this album’s release, the “Breakaway” singer wasn’t completely convinced that she’ll release the album.
“It is officially time to tell you that I’ve been working on this project for close to three years now and I wasn’t sure I was going to release it, but I am,” she said.
Clarkson continued, saying that Chemistry is the “arc of an entire relationship.” This ultimately points to the singer’s divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, which finalized in March 2022.
“A whole relationship shouldn’t be brought down to just one thing,” she said. “So there’s the good, the bad, and the ugly kinda thing going on it.”
Earlier this month, Clarkson stated in The Angie Martinez IRL Podcast that every phase of her divorce is included in her album. In the same interview, she mentioned “sadness” and “rage,” describing the whole experience as “death.”
Fans Can’t Wait for The Release of Chemistry
Upon watching the video, fans were quick to express their excitement for the album. One fan thanked Clarkson for showing her “vulnerable” side to create the upcoming album. Meanwhile, another user shared their thoughts about the title Chemistry, having the same divorce experience as the pop star.
“I really like the title,” the user wrote. “And as a fellow divorced woman I understand exactly what you mean by it. Can’t wait to hear it. Your music has been healing for me.”
Clarkson did not mention about the final date of the album’s release. She nonetheless stated that the tracks off the album will be known anytime in the near future.
“And when I say soon,” she said. “I mean really soon.”
Fans are definitely ready for the roller coaster right that Chemistry is bound to give. The Voice veteran coach once said that she “wrote so much” during her separation from Blackstock. Thus, it’s only right to anticipate that the Clarkson is set to break hearts and pump them up at the same time.
