Former American Idol judge Keith Urban did something special for a couple attending one of his recent concerts. The couple was holding up a sign reading, “HELP REVEAL BABY’S GENDER.” Urban invited them on stage and did just that.

Keith Urban Shares Gender Reveal with Couple

Expectant couple Shawn and Miranda Fogle attended Urban’s concert at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama, on Saturday night. Their sign had an envelope attached which contained the news of whether they’re having a boy or a girl.

In a video posted by local news, Urban shared that the audience consensus seemed to be that the couple would be having a girl. The country star opened the envelope and shared the news, along with some jokes.

“And the Academy Award for best baby makers, it’s a new category,” he said, before announcing, “It’s a boy! How about it? Who lost money right now?”

Miranda admitted that she already knew, while Shawn said that he “hoped” it would be a boy. The couple also shared that they had the name Hudson picked out for the baby. Urban said he loved it and gave them both a hug.

Urban Has Two Kids of His Own

Urban is a father himself, as he has two daughters with his wife, actress Nicole Kidman. The couple got married in 2006, and they welcomed daughter Sunday Rose in 2008. In 2010, they had another daughter named Faith Margaret.

In 2018, Urban said being a father was “an incredible feeling,” adding, “And having girls — I love having girls. You know, I come from a family with no sisters, one brother. So, it’s been quite the learning curve in a really good way.”

Urban is currently on his The Speed of Now tour, with more dates through November. Last month, he released a new single called “Brown Eyes Baby” which he had previously performed in concert.
