Katy Perry on the 'American Idol' Finale 2024

Katy Perry’s daughter Daisy Dove Bloom recently celebrated her fourth birthday. To mark the occasion, Perry posted a throwback video on Instagram in which she can be seen lying in the hospital after Daisy’s birth in 2020.

Katy Perry Posts Video from After Daughter’s Birth

Last week, Perry took to Instagram stories to post a video of herself lying in a hospital bed wearing a nursing bra and eating a snack. The video is dated August 28, 2020. Off camera, Perry’s fiancé Orlando Bloom can be heard asking, “What day is it?”

Perry replies, “It’s the day after I gave birth to Daisy Dove Bloom, and it’s the day my fifth record comes out.” The record Perry is referring to is Smile, which was released on that day four years ago. Before posting the video, Perry teased that she would show fans where she was when it came out.

Last month, Perry posted a TikTok video in which Daisy can be seen helping her sign autographs for her upcoming album 143 — the follow-up to Smile. After Perry signs the artwork, she passes it to Daisy, who scribbles her own signature.

Perry’s New Album Is Out September 20

Perry is gearing up to release her sixth studio album, titled 143, on September 20. The singer has already released two new singles to promote the album — “Woman’s World” and “Lifetimes.” The latter was apparently inspired by her love for her daughter.

It was also recently announced that Perry will receive the Video Vanguard Award at this year’s MTV VMAs, set to air on Wednesday, September 11. Perry will also take the stage for a performance during the show.
