Kandi Burruss Releases Dramatic Trailer to New Series ‘Kandi and the Gang’

The new trailer for Kandi Burruss’s spinoff series, Kandi & the Gang, has fans excited for its premiere. The Masked Singer Season 3 winner is giving viewers an inside look at what it takes to run her successful Old Lady Gang Atlanta restaurant. The show premieres Sunday March 6 on Bravo.
Burruss opened the first OLG location back in 2017. The power of being on reality TV has helped propel the restaurant to a successful chain with three total locations. Fans of Burruss who watch her on Real Housewives of Atlanta saw that she was inspired to open the restaurant to honor her mother and two aunts.
Mama Joyce and her two sisters were the driving force behind the restaurant. Their quick banter and sassy attitudes made them breakout stars on the reality show.
The trailer shows the ups and downs of running a successful business with a wild staff who have career ambitions of their own. Throughout the trailer we learn that staff members are all dating each other, which leads to entertaining yet uncomfortable shifts. We are also set to get a look at the dynamic of Burruss’s family. She is married with three kids and her husband also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
The Drama Heats Up on ‘Kandi & The Gang’
“OLG was a hit,” Burruss says in the trailer. Her husband followed up her excitement by getting real. “But now it’s dysfunctional,” he says.
The dysfunction shows as we see secret hookups among manager and staff members. We see arguments between Burruss and her employees, her family, as well as her husband.
“Go to church,” Burruss’s aunt dramatically yells before the trailer ends.
Burruss isn’t new to a drama filled life. She’s been a main cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta since Season 2. RHOA is currently wrapping up filming Season 14. Burruss will also star in the upcoming season. Kandi & the Gang will be Burruss’s fifth spinoff show.
The “No Scrubs” songwriter’s career is as popular as ever since she took home the championship on The Masked Singer as Night Angel. Besides reality TV, Burruss is a producer of the new Broadway play, Thoughts of a Colored Man.
