Kaitlyn Bristowe Taking Social Media Break Following Split from Jason Tartick

Dancing with the Stars Season 29 winner Kaitlyn Bristowe and her fiancé Jason Tartick announced over the weekend that they’ve broken up. The couple started dating in 2019 and announced their engagement in 2021. Both stars appeared on different seasons of The Bachelorette.
Kaitlyn Bristowe Taking Social Media Break Amid Split
On Sunday, Bristowe and Tartick took to Instagram to share the news that they had decided to end their engagement. They wrote that they are “beyond thankful for the memories made together.” The couple’s dogs Ramen and Pinot “will continue to be cared for together as brothers.”
“Continuing our friendship is incredibly important to both of us,” the couple wrote. “We feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other. It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die.”
Following the announcement, Bristowe told her followers that she’ll be taking a break from social media. She posted a selfie on her Instagram story on Sunday with the message, “See you soon ❤️bye for now.”
Bristowe followed that up with another story in which she asked followers to “say some sort of prayer for both of our hearts.” She added, “I just know social media can be awful so taking a little break.” Her Instagram bio now reads, “BRB. Healing.”

The Couple Got Engaged in 2021
Bristowe was a contestant on Season 9 of The Bachelor, placing third. She later starred on The Bachelorette, becoming engaged to contestant Shawn Booth. In November 2018, she and Booth announced that they were broken up.
In early 2019, Bristowe began dating Tartick, who had appeared on Season 14 of The Bachelorette. The pair met while recording Bristowe’s podcast Off the Vine. They announced in May 2019 that they were moving in together. In May 2021, they announced their engagement.
After Sunday’s announcement, Tartick took to Instagram stories to write, “I will forever be grateful for this beautiful person that was brought into my life. Beyond heart broken. Please be kind as we go through our individual journeys to heal.”
