It’s no secret that Julianne Hough was on the most captivating and talented performers to ever grace the Dancing With The Stars stage. The professional dancer’s journey on the show was nothing short of extraordinary. With now acting Hough as a host of the series, it’s important to look back at her time in the ballroom as a dancer.

8. Season 8 – Samba With Chuck Wicks

Although Hough and her partner, Chuck Wicks, were see as the underdogs of the competition, the pair impressed with an electrifying samba to “Baila Baila.” The dance itself stripped back the frills and focused solely on choreography. It certainly proved their place in the competition.

7. Season 4 – Paso Doble with Apolo Anton Ohno

Hough and her partner Apolo Anton Ohno commandeered the dance floor with a fiery Paso Doble set to the captivating tune of “Carnaval De Paris.” Right from the start, they wasted no time in bringing a surge of drama and intensity, wrapping up the show with a resounding bang.

6. Season 13 – Jive With Derek

In 2011, Hough graced the ballroom during her promotional tour for the film, Footloose. On the DWTS stage she performed a jive alongside her brother, Derek Hough. The siblings once again shattered expectations with her impressive tricks and routine to “Shake Your Tail Feather.”

5. Season 5 – Cha-Cha-Cha With Hélio Castroneves

Hough and Hélio Castroneves took to the stage with a cha-cha-cha performance set to the rhythmic pulse of “Love Rollercoaster.” From the moment the music began, the audience was captivated by Hough’s intricate choreography and Castroneves’ impeccable execution.

4. Season 24 – Contemporary With Derek

In a profoundly moving tribute, the Hough siblings returned to the stage with an emotionally charged performance. The dance was set to the haunting notes of “Unsteady” by the X Ambassadors. With a narrative that conveyed divorce through the art of dance, they poured their hearts into the routine. They were accompanied by four additional dancers who symbolized a family grappling with the same experience.

3. Season 19 – Performing With Male Pros

Hough set the DWTS stage ablaze with a sultry performance that left the crowd certainly yearning for more. Surrounded by a lineup of hunky male co-dancers including Derek, Tony Dovolani, Mark Ballas, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigvintsev, Keo Motsepe, Sasha Farber, and Henry Byalikov, Hough then delivered a mesmerising showcase that cranked up the heat.

1. Season 4 – Freestyle With Apolo Anton Ohno

It’s no secret that Hough and Ohno were truly in a league of their own during DWTS season four. During the final week of the competition, the pair performed a freestyle that more-or-less secured their place as Mirrorball Champions. Hough’s choreography, characterized by both its originality and ingenuity, stood in a league of its own, defying convention and expectations.
