JoJo Siwa’s Mom Chimes In as Candace Cameron Bure Drama Continues
Reading Time: 3 minutes
We thought the drama between JoJo Siwa and Candace Cameron Bure was over when Bure apologized to Siwa for declining to take a photo with her years ago. But it continued this week as not only did Siwa’s mom Jessalyn chime in, but Bure also received an interesting PR package.
JoJo Siwa’s Mom Chimes in on Candace Cameron Bure Drama
This all started last month when Siwa named Bure as the “rudest celebrity I’ve met” in a TikTok video. Bure ended up reaching out to Siwa to find out what she did wrong. When she learned that she had declined to take a photo with Siwa at the Fuller House premiere, she apparently apologized, telling Siwa she “broke your 11-year-old heart.”
Siwa confirmed that Bure had called her, telling Page Six that the incident actually happened at the premiere’s afterparty, where Bure “didn’t wanna take a picture with me, and I was OK with that.” However, she added, “But then I turned around, and when I looked back, she was taking pictures with other kids.”
The So You Think You Can Dance judge ultimately said she had “a positive call” with Bure, but her mom Jessalynn wasn’t ready to let things go. She recently reposted an old clip from her podcast in which she recounted the incident with Bure, saying the afterparty was at a crowded restaurant.
According to Jessalynn, her daughter asked Bure to take a selfie, to which Bure replied, “Not now, maybe later.” She wrote in the new post’s caption, “Real, genuine kindness always goes a long way. It’s super easy to quote a Bible verse when everyone is looking at you but morals are what you have when no one is looking.”

Bure Receives Siwa-Themed Gift in the Mail
The drama continues on Bure’s side of things as well. On Thursday, she posted on her Instagram stories to share that a PR company had sent her a perfectly timed gift. She showed the box, which contained a JoJo Siwa craft kit from Diamond Art Club.
“Coincidence? Just weird timing? I don’t know,” Bure said of the package. “But it looks really cute, and when one of my goddaughters comes over, we are gonna do this.”
Meanwhile, even Siwa fans are starting to get tired of the situation. Several people commented negatively on Jessalynn’s recent post, with one person telling her to “let it go already,” and another saying it’s “starting to feel like a publicity grab.”
Another commenter wrote, “Nobody is entitled to anyone else’s personal time or space. People are allowed to say no and should be able to have those personal boundaries without being bashed about it years later.”
