JoJo Siwa to Co-Host Podcast Network that Spotlights LGBTQ+ Voices
Siwa’s involvement in the new venture is significant, particularly as it relates to the importance of amplifying the voices of young LGBTQ+ individuals. As she begins this new chapter in her career, Siwa is aware that she has to help shape the conversation around LGBTQ+ representation in media and entertainment, given her platform.
With Outspoken, iHeartMedia is creating a space for LGBTQ+ talent and listeners everywhere to celebrate who they are, while also promoting greater visibility and representation for underrepresented communities.
In addition to Siwa‘s involvement, media strategist and activist Raquel Willis will work with iHeartMedia’s creative development and marketing director Jay Brunson to develop two podcasts for the network. The new podcast network is an exciting development that highlights the power of podcasting in amplifying marginalized voices and promoting inclusivity.
The announcement of Siwa’s involvement in iHeartMedia’s Outspoken Podcast network is a significant milestone for LGBTQ+ representation in media and entertainment. Siwa, as co-host and executive producer of her own podcast, has the potential to facilitate the emergence of diverse voices and stories from the community.
JoJo Siwa Will Also Star in a Comedy Horror-Thriller Film
Siwa will not only co-host a new podcast but also star in an upcoming comedy horror-thriller movie titled All My Friends Are Dead. In February 2023, they made the initial announcement about the film, and we expect it to be out later this year.
Siwa expressed her excitement about the project, saying that she’s “grateful for the opportunity,” to be a part of the movie. She also mentioned that she loves horror movies and can’t wait to start production.
According sources, All My Friends Are Dead follows a group of close college friends who rent an Airbnb for a music festival. However, their weekend of partying takes a dark turn as they are murdered one by one, and each death corresponds to one of the seven deadly sins.
In addition, Siwa expressed excitement about collaborating with her friend Jade, with whom she had worked in the past when they were younger. Josh Sims and Jessica Sarah Flaum wrote the movie, and John Baldecchi, Jason Resnick, and Kevin Greutert produced it.
