JoJo Siwa Kicks Off Her D.R.E.A.M. Tour without Backup Dancers
JoJo Siwa’s D.R.E.A.M. Tour kicked off on Thursday night, but things looked a little different than fans were probably expecting. Siwa’s backup dancers didn’t appear on stage with her, because they’re currently quarantining. Dancer Ezra Sosa posted about it on Instagram.
JoJo Siwa Starts Tour without Backup Dancers
Siwa’s first show was in Spokane, Washington, on Thursday night. Ezra Sosa, who is a pro dancer on Dancing with the Stars, posted a photo of Siwa performing on stage by herself. He wrote, “Due to an abundance of caution all backup dancers are quarantining for a few days.”
“Even though JoJo won’t have her dancers by her side tonight,” Sosa continued, “she still is going to put on the best show for you! All the dancers zoomed in on her tech run last night and she brought the house down BY HERSELF!”
The dancers also video chatted during the concert itself. Fellow backup dancer CJ Jensen shared a clip of his computer during the show. One square featured Siwa performing on stage, while the dancers performed along with her in their own separate rooms.

Siwa responded to Sosa’s Instagram post by writing, “I love you.” She added a sad face, a crying face, and a heart.
The star’s new tour has a few connections to her time on Dancing with the Stars. (Siwa came in second place in Season 30 last year.) Not only is Sosa a a backup dancer on the show, but Siwa’s partner Jenna Johnson choreographed a jive routine for Siwa and Sosa to perform.
It looks like fans will have to wait a little longer to see the two of them perform the routine together on stage. The next show is on Saturday in Boise, Idaho. It’s not clear yet if the backup dancers will still be in quarantine during that show.
