JoJo Gets Engaged on Christmas — Who is Her Fiancé Dexter Darden?

Singer JoJo is officially engaged to actor Dexter Darden. The Masked Singer star said yes to Darden’s proposal on Christmas, just a few days after her 31st birthday. JoJo shared several photos and videos from the romantic day on Instagram, including a shot of her engagement ring.

JoJo shared a photo of the couple under a “SHE SAID YES” sign, writing, “forever with YOU? Sign me UP. celebrating Christmas a whole fiancé!!!” She called Darden “the most thoughtful, creative, positive, handsome, strong, loving, uplifting human being.”
The singer thanked Darden “for the most epic birthday surprise ever. and for flying out my mom, your mom, and both of our best friends to share in that incredible moment with us.”
JoJo also shared a clip showing off her sparkly engagement ring, as well as a video of the set-up for the engagement, featuring rose petals on the floor and table for the couple’s loved ones. Darden himself commented on the post, writing, “thank you for being my forever.”

Who Is Her Fiancé, Dexter Darden?
Dexter Darden is a 30-year-old actor who plays the character Devante on the rebooted Saved by the Bell series. He’s also appeared in the movies Joyful Noise and The Maze Runner. Darden was born in New Jersey and has been acting since 2006.
Darden also showed off his singing voice on Saved by the Bell, and last year he posted a poem he wrote called “Silence” for the Black Lives Matter movement. Darden and JoJo have been dating for over a year, with JoJo first posting with Darden on social media this past summer.
JoJo turned 31 on December 20. Darden posted an Instagram tribute to the singer on her special day, writing, “Happy Birthday To the Brightest Star In My Universe, The Beat To My Heart, The Woman I prayed for.” He called her a “Gift from God to the world, and the best present I’ve ever received.”
The recent proposal isn’t Darden’s first romantic gesture. He told PopSugar that when JoJo was preparing for her tour and he was filming a movie, “I changed my connecting flight to where she was taking off from just so that we could fly back to LA together.”
