Is there anything that John Legend can’t do? The Voice coach just dropped his highly anticipated album “Bigger Love” and fans are loving it. The album was released online first due to current coronavirus restrictions but Legend promised fans that physical copies will be available soon. All of this comes ahead of his Verzuz battle with Alicia Keys to honor Juneteenth.

‘The Voice’ Coach John Legend Is Celebrating The Release Of ‘Bigger Love’

Legend has been working on this album for 18 months so this release meant a lot to him after all of his hard work. “The songs are inspired by the loves of my life: my wife, my family and the rich tradition of black music that has made me the artist I am,” Legend said in an Instagram post. “As we enter the summer of 2020, I hope this new album can get you lifted again, fill your hearts with love and inspiration, give you something to dance to, something to hold hands to, something to make love to,” he said. He wants this album to be a light during a difficult time in the world after the death of George Floyd.

While Legend said he knows the album will not fix everyone’s problems, he was eager to share it with the world. He also wrote on both Instagram and Twitter that he wants to honor all of the people that helped work on the album starting with the artist who painted the cover, Charly Palmer. In an adorable tweet, he mentioned that his children love the song “I Do” on the “Bigger Love” album. Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen tweeted that because the kids love the song, she has listened to it over 4000 times. Not only are the family celebrating the release of this new album, but it was also announced that Legend would be returning as a judge on season 19 of The Voice. What a big week it has been for Legend!

Fans Are Showing Legend Some Love After This New Album Release

Legend’s fans are very impressed with his latest album with one Twitter user even calling it “brilliant.”

Others following suit singing their praises after Legend has been teasing the release of this album for weeks.

Another Twitter user said it’s “so good.”

The album features Jhene Aiko on the song “U Move, I Move” and everyone absolutely loves this collaboration between the two successful artists.

The Singer Is Gearing Up For His ‘Verzuz’ Battle

“Bigger Love” was released ahead of Legend’s Verzuz battle with Keys. Verzuz stated that their battle will be largely piano focused, and with both Keys and Legend being professional pianists themselves, it will surely be a show you won’t want to miss. They will go head to head with each of them performing their latest and greatest hits. This battle is special because it is to celebrate Juneteenth, the holiday commemorating the end of slavery.

This highly anticipated battle will take place at 8PM EST and Legend will definitely be beaming after the successful release of “Bigger Love.”
