Jimmy Fallon Teases The Tonight Show Return
In a video posted to social media on Thursday, Fallon shared that The Tonight Show will be returning to its usual time slot at 11:35 p.m. on NBC with a new episode starting Monday night. He told fans, “I missed you guys so much.”
McConaughey, who is a member of SAG-AFTRA, will not be promoting any of his acting work. Rather, he will be talking about his new children’s book, titled Just Because. Mayer will presumably be performing, although Fallon didn’t specify what song.
Seth Meyers is also returning on Monday with a new episode of Late Night. According to Deadline, the show will look a little different as he’ll be spending the episode’s entire runtime on his political segment A Closer Look.
Stephen Colbert will also be returning to The Late Show on CBS next week, while Jimmy Kimmel will be back with his show on ABC. John Oliver will have a new episode of Last Week Tonight on HBO Sunday.

The Late-Night Hosts Had a Podcast During the Strike
During the writers’ strike, late-night hosts Fallon, Meyers, Colbert, Kimmel, and Oliver teamed up to host a podcast called Strike Force Five. On Wednesday, the hosts posted a message to social media announcing their return to TV.
“Their mission complete, the founding members of Strike Force 5 will return to their network television shows this Monday 10/2, and one of them to premium cable on 10/1,” they wrote, adding, “Goodbye for now, and hello for later, because we still have a few more episodes, unless Ryan Reynolds cuts off the cash.”
