Jonah Mayor and Aaron Lavigne on 'The Voice' Battles 2026

The Voice is back for the second round of the Battles. Watch singers team up to perform the same song for a chance to stay in the competition! Here’s everything you may have missed on Monday night’s episode.

Coaches Beg Artists to Pair Up Following Pitch Perfect Battle

Team Adam kicked off the night with teammates Drew Russell and Jared Shoemaker. Together, the pair sang “Leather and Lace” by Stevie Nicks, which was chosen by Levine. Post performance, Clarkson was seen immediately saying “that was damn good.” The coaches collectively admitted that Drew and Jared were a cute pair. They even went as far as asking if they were single – Drew is married.

Clarkson complimented the fellow coach for the song choice, since it was an extremely even battle. In the end, Levine named Jared the winner of the battle. Before going to the next performance, fans got to see Clarkson saying she wished she had a steal, or even better, a button that made people pair up.

The next performance of the night was Team Kelly members Houston Kelly and Tia Durant. They sang “Either Way” by Chris Stapleton and it was clear that coaches couldn’t make up their minds. Levine admitted that Tia is typically his favorite, but today his choice was Houston. Meanwhile, Legend differed, saying that it would be impossible for Tia to go home after that performance.

Coach Clarkson admitted that this was the hardest set of battle rounds for her, since she couldn’t be in rehearsals. Though she wasn’t there, she knew that her artists could handle this song. Clarkson had a tough time choosing between the singers. After stalling (and going to commercial), Clarkson chose to save Houston.

The following performance was Team Adam members Jeremy Keith and Aziz Guerra. They sang “My Cherie Amour (Mi Querido Amor)” by Stevie Wonder. Though both artists did a great job in the performance, Levine decided to save Jeremy.

AGT Alum Goes Home After Battle

Kicking off the second half of the episode was Team Legend members Natasha Blaine and Kendra Remedios. Together, they sang “Walk on By” Dionne Warwick. Though Clarkson leaned towards Kendra, Legend ultimately decided to keep Natasha for his team.

Team Kelly members Jonah Mayor and Aaron LaVigne took the stage next. Together, they sang “The First Time” by Damiano David. Levine immediately admitted that breathing wasn’t under control for either singer. He was waiting for the kinks to be rung out. Legend went on to say that the sustained big notes were the best part of the performance. Clarkson, after admitting that no one’s perfect, chose Jonah as the winner of the battle.

The next battle of the night was former AGT singer Ashley Marina and Syd Millevoi. This Team Legend pairing sang “Love Takes Time” by Mariah Carey. After the performance, Clarkson commented on the pitch issues with Ashley, saying that when she actually opens up her voice it was beautiful. For Syd, Clarkson revealed that she wished she could turn for her.

Legend eventually took over the conversation, saying that Ashley needs to give her voice more time to really learn it, while Syd is still working on her voice too. Right now, Legend felt that Syd had what it took to move on, elimination Ashley.

Team Kelly took over with “Rhiannon” by Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. This was a great song choice for Julia Golden and Abigayle Oakley, since it really brought together their different styles. Levine was the first to speak after the performance, saying that Abigayle had the better performance of the two. Clarkson agreed, inviting Abigayle into the Knockouts.

The final performance of the night was Team Legend members KJ Willis and Mike Steele. Together, they performed “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)” by Ne-Yo. After the battle, Clarkson was the first to talk, saying that Legend is “so screwed.”

Levine was actually helpful, saying that Mike had the most memorable moment of performance with his run. Clarkson then butted in, saying she’d even it out by saying she’d choose KJ. After talking through the tone of each artist, Legend chose KJ to continue on in the competition. Last minute, Levine hit his one and only steal on Mike.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, March 30 at 9/8c with the Knockouts. Be sure to tune in so you don’t miss a moment of the competition. What did you think of this episode? Let us know on X!
