Jessie J Has Us Dancing with New Summer Single ‘I Want Love’

Jessie J has a new single out for the summer, and we’re ready to dance. The singer, who has coached on three versions of The Voice in the UK and Australia, released a free-wheeling lyric video to go along with the track.
Jessie is preparing to release her fifth studio album later this year. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of her debut album Who You Are, which featured the single “Price Tag.”
Jessie J Releases Summer Single ‘I Want Love’
Jessie’s new song “I Want Love” is a disco-tinged summer anthem that shows off her powerhouse voice while getting us moving. The lyric video shows Jessie driving a convertible down the road and joyously singing into the camera.
“I wanted to come back with a song that felt classic but modern,” Jessie said in a press release. “BIG vocals and get everyone on the dance floor. I cannot wait for the world to hear this song and to DANCE and sing along loud.”
On the track, which was produced and co-written by Ryan Tedder, Jessie sings about embracing her feelings for someone, belting out, “I want love / Baby, tonight, I want it / I want love / Don’t try to fight me on it.”
Jessie’s last album was the holiday release This Christmas Day in 2018. Before that, she released the album R.O.S.E. in the same year.

Fans React to the New Song on Social Media
Fans are raving about Jessie’s song new song on social media, calling it “stunning” and “a disco bop.” One Twitter user said they were “READY for a massive Jessie J comeback.”
Commenters on the lyric video are also praising the release, with one fan writing, “This woman’s voice is like a musical instrument that can never sound bad.” Another wrote, “Real voice, real talent, real music, real artist she’s THE QUEEN.”
