Jenny McCarthy is ‘Ashamed’ She Didn’t Guess Husband Donnie Wahlberg as The Cluedle-Doo

Jenny McCarthy is still facing some embarrassment after her husband was unmasked during last night’s episode of The Masked Singer. Donnie Wahlberg tormented the judges and the contestants for weeks as The Cluedle-Doo up until his dramatic reveal. McCarthy fell to the ground when she saw it was him under the mask. She initially guessed that the giant masked rooster was singer Akon.

McCarthy was pretty shocked that she did not recognize her husband’s voice underneath the mask. Her Golden Ear Trophy for having the most correct guesses last season seems like it could be in jeopardy this season. Luckily, Wahlberg has forgiven McCarthy and the pair posted a hilarious Twitter video together after The Masked Singer aired.
“My husband still loves me even though I didn’t recognize his voice,” McCarthy said in the video.
She is wearing a huge pair of sunglasses with her hair covering her face. Wahlberg snuggled up against his wife and clearly forgave her for her crazy television blunder. She still feels “ashamed” that she did not recognize him.
“I’m not showing my face in public for a long time,” she added.
Wahlberg shook his tail feathers as The Cluedle-Doo during his surprise performance, which he thought would be a dead giveaway to his identity. This is a move that he has done on stage before. Fans of New Kids on the Block made the video of Wahlberg shaking his butt go viral and they too were shocked McCarthy could not put all of the clues together.
The couple has been married since 2014, so you would think McCarthy would be able to recognize Wahlberg’s voice by now. She’s either a really good actress or just completely ruled her husband out of ever being on The Masked Singer. She has guessed that he was under a mask in past seasons.
In an attempt to make his wife feel better about her wrong guess, Wahlberg took to Twitter to offer up some reasons why she may have missed the mark.
“Maybe she was told she couldn’t guess her hubby any more since she’d already guessed me 112 times per season for four years,” he wrote.
