Jennifer Hudson Gets Emotional as She Celebrates Her Talk Show Being Renewed

The Jennifer Hudson Show has been renewed for a second season, and the host recently got emotional while talking about what the talk show means to her. She shared her gratitude for the show’s crew, as well as the audience and viewers at home.

The Jennifer Hudson Show Renewed for Season 2

The former American Idol star gave credit to the show’s crew for being there daily, “working like nobody’s business to pull this show together, so that I can come out here and simply just be Jennifer.” She also shared a heartfelt message with the audience and viewers.

“Thank you all for giving me your hearts,” she told the in-studio audience. “I love y’all so much. I love you so much. I really do. Thank you for letting me into your homes, into your lives. You bless us just the same.”

Hudson then shared the news that the show had been renewed for a second season. As the audience cheered, she told them, “You better celebrate!” The singer also responded to the announcement video on Twitter, writing, “Season 2, let’s go !!!!!!!”

The Show Premiered in September

The Jennifer Hudson Show premiered in September of last year. Hudson isn’t the only American Idol alum currently hosting a talk show. Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson has been hosting a talk show of her own since 2019, and it was recently renewed through 2025.

Since the show premiered, Hudson has welcomed a number of famous faces on her show, including talent show stars such as Simon Cowell, Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, and Blake Shelton. She’s even performed with some of her guests, such as The Masked Singer winner Amber Riley and fellow Idol star Adam Lambert.
