Jelly Roll, a popular Country singer and rapper, recently commented on his song being used on singing competition show, The Voice. During the show, Team Gwen members, Jacquie Roar and BIAS, performed Jelly Roll’s song “Need a Favor,” and he couldn’t contain his excitement.

Jacquie and BIAS’s performance was nothing short of amazing. If you missed it, ahead of The Battle rounds, Jacquie Roar, previously wowed with her rendition of Gretchen Wilson’s “Here for the Party,” while BIAS, sang Blake Shelton‘s “God’s Country.” For this round, their coach, Gwen Stefani, picked Jelly Roll’s hit “Need a Favor” for the singers.
Once the clip was released early, Jelly Roll noticed it, and reacted. The official Instagram page of The Voice shared the battle video with Jelly Roll’s comment, “This is INCREDIBLE – I’m honored.”
Since this clip was posted online, it’s brought in over 875,000 views on YouTube. On Instagram, the clip has brought in around 269,000 views.
The show’s coaches were impressed by Jacquie’s powerful voice, but the decision was in the hands of Gwen Stefani. Stefani chose BIAS as the winner of the battle, noting his strong stage presence. However, Jacquie’s time on The Voice has not been cut short. Before the singer exited the competition, Reba McEntire hit her Steal Button. Now, Jacquie will appear in the Knockout Rounds as part of Team Reba.
McEntire’s decision to steal Jacquie Roar was met with excitement and gratitude from the singer, who was determined to continue her journey on The Voice. Jacquie and BIAS will both be moving on to the Knockout Rounds. For those who may not know, in the next round, singers are able to select their own songs and compete against another teammate.
