Jannick Holste Brings a Magic Infused Dance Act to The ‘AGT’ Stage

Jannick Holste brings the most surprising dance act to the America’s Got Talent stage. This dancer/magician is seen in the show’s recent early release.
Jannick Holste showed up in style for his America’s Got Talent audition. The 19 year old Germany native took the stage with tons of energy in a shining rhinestone jacket. Out of all the judges Jannick was most excited to see Heidi Klum. This dance teacher wants to win the show so he can tour around the world with Klum.
Jannick Holste Brings a New Form of Dance to The Stage
As soon as his act began, it was clear that he was going to add a twist to dance. Jannick’s audition fused dance and magic together in the best way possible. The dancer performed simple magic tricks to make multiple background dancers appear out of thin air. Many fans have shared that it’s refreshing to see such a simple form of magic/illusionism used in a fun way. In the background if Jannick’s performance, Klum’s song “Chai Tea with Heidi” played.
When the judges gave their notes, Mandel explained that Jannick’s group was an ultimate surprise. The dance/magic mix was insanely original. Although the other judges loved Jannick’s audition, Simon Cowell bashed Klum’s vocals and stated that the act was “fantastically good and fantastically bad at the same time.”
Cowell finished put his notes by saying that the act worked. In the end, the judges gave this group four yeses. Jannick and his dancers will move on into the next round on America’s Got Talent.
This isn’t the first act that’s incorporated magic with another talent on season 17 of America’s Got Talent. Earlier in the season, Mervant Vera meshed magic with rap music episode one. Just like Mervant, fans already love Jannick. It’s really cool to see not only one, but two twists on traditional magic acts.
Who is Jannick Holste?
Jannick is a magician that appeared as a semifinalist in 2021 on Das Supertalent (Germany’s version of America’s Got Talent). In his audition on this series, he performed similar tricks, with different music in the background. This audition featured far less dance and more magic.
It appears that Jannick is rather new to the world of performing since his Instagram was created in March 2021. In his first few posts he mentions spiker illusion, ballon-modellage, origami illusion, and more. Jannick can also be found on TikTok under the username “jannick_magic.” He currently has 486 followers on Instagram and 117 followers on TikTok, so it appears that he hasn’t been discovered just yet.
