Jada Pinkett Smith Finally Reveals Answers About August Alsina Affair On New ‘Red Table Talk’

Jada Pinkett Smith sat down with her husband Will Smith to address all of the questions that fans have been speculating after singer August Alsina came forward to reveal his affair with Jada. Jada took to her show Red Table Talk to discuss these allegations and finally give answers to people questioning whether or not the Smith’s have an open relationship.
Jada Pinkett Smith Admits To Having A Relationship With August Alsina
All of this drama first started when August sat down in an interview with Angela Lee and spoke about how he had a romantic relationship with Jada with Will’s blessing. The pair were known to the public as close friends so speculation began if there was more to the story. Fans wondered if Will and Jada really were in an open marriage. Jada tweeted that an episode of Red Table Talk was coming to clear up some of the speculations and allow for some “healing.”

And, much to everyone’s surprise, August for the most part was telling the truth. Jada did reveal that she had a relationship with August four and a half years ago while she and Will were separated. “We were over,” she said. “From there, as time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August.” People on Twitter are pretty confused about what the word “entanglement” actually means.

A ton of people on Twitter began piling in tweets that feel like Jada used the word “entanglement” instead of an “affair” to try and make Will feel better about the situation.
Other’s think the use of the word is an excuse to justify cheating.
Jada And Will Further Explained Their Split And How They Got Back Together
The couple first wanted to address the fact that August said Will gave his permission for the two to start a romantic relationship. “One of the things I want to clear up that was kind of swirling in the press was you giving permission, which the only person who can give permission in that particular circumstance is myself,” Jada said. “But what August was actually trying to communicate — because I could actually see how he would perceive it as permission because we were separated amicably — I think he also wanted to make it clear that he’s not a homewrecker, which he’s not.” She went on to say that she and Will were separated and were done with each other at the time. It took a bit of self-reflection for August to break things off with her as she returned to having a relationship with Will.

Jada said that she hasn’t spoken to August since their relationship ended as she and Will continue to work on their 23-year marriage. “We have really gotten to that new place of unconditional love,” she said about their marriage today.
