America’s Got Talent winner Jackie Evancho stars in her first music video after nearly two years. The 22 year old’s voice sounds better than ever in this new track.
On June 17, Jackie Evancho returned to YouTube with a brand new music video for her rendition of “Both Sides Now” originally performed by Joni Mitchell. The simple music video features the singer lip syncing to the track in a scenic location. Jackie looks absolutely stunning in this music video. Even though she’s wearing a simple look, she absolutely rocks the white dress/jean jacket combination.
Jackie recreated Joni Mitchell’s tune with ultimate bliss. While many love the original song, Jackie’s soft tone is captivating. I think Jackie’s rendition of “Both Sides Now” is wonderful, her voice has only gotten better as the years have gone on.
This singer recently made her return to music on May 8 with this rendition of “Both Sides Now.” Ahead of this release, her last single (“River”) was dropped in 2020. Since her release of “Both Side Now” fans have spoken highly about the singer’s gorgeous voice.
“What a beautiful cover of a great song! Your vocal artistry is pure gold and so are you!” a fan commented.
Fans are excited to live the next chapter of Jackie’s career alongside her. For those who may not remember, she gained national recognition after earning second place on America’s Got Talent season five (2010). Since she was ten years old at the time, fans have watched her blossom into an adult.
Jackie Evancho Returns to Music in 2022
This song marks Jackie’s return to the limelight following her social media disappearance. On November 11, 2021, this singer returned to social media with a heartbreaking and honest reason behind her absence. In her lengthy caption, Jackie shared that her disordered eating issues have not gotten better since sharing it to the public previously. At the time she acknowledged that she was getting help.
Jackie was diagnosed with anorexia at the age of 17, but had been struggling with disordered eating since she was 15 years old. In a 2019 interview, Jackie talked about having a hard time with her body image. She saw herself as only her young self, which was extremely harmful as her body matured. In the past she had talked about how her body made her feel so upset that she would sometimes go days without eating.
After hearing about what this singer has been through, fans are thrilled to see her return to music. Many are hoping for an album release in the future.
