America’s Got Talent singing sweetheart Jackie Evancho has recently released a cover of U2’s “Beautiful Day.” Amazingly, her short cover has garnered positive feedback from her followers.
Jackie Evancho Releases a Sensational U2 Rendition
The AGT singer posted her latest cover on her social media on Thursday, August 24. According to Evancho, she opted to challenge herself to belt out a song from the 2000s era.
“Decided to sing a bit of a song released the year i was born, 2000. Fun lil challenge,” she wrote.
Wearing a black fitted long sleeves, Evancho effortlessly used her vocals to sing the U2 hit. The singer was also playing her piano as she was filming the short cover.
“Touch me / Take me to that other place / Teach me love / I know I’m not a hopeless case,” she sings.
Upon seeing the post, fans were quick to express their pleasure with her rendition. One fan particularly mentioned how talented Evancho is for putting her unique touch into the track.
“What a great cover! This is a great example of how a singer can change the feel of the song for me,” one person wrote.
“Beautiful song, your voice is sublime. Awesome!” another fan wrote.
Evancho is never shy to talk about her favorite artists. Over a week ago, the AGT singer shared her music inspirations throughout the years. Among those are The Killers, Deep Sea Arcade, and Cigarettes After Sex.
She’ll Drop New Song ‘Behind My Eyes’ This September
Currently, Evancho is gearing up for the release of another brand-new music. Titled “Behind My Eyes,” this song will present Evancho in her “musical transformation era.”
Evancho teased the song on Instagram with a snippet of the track. She presented the same alongside a hued photo of her eyes.
“‘Behind My Eyes’ is the first song to be released both written and sung by me. I’m very grateful to my producer @greg_camp_music for encouraging and pushing me to dive into this song from the beginning,” she wrote.
“Behind My Eyes” comes after Evancho’s new song, “Get Out Of My Life.” As announced by Evancho, this track will be available on September 8.
