Jackie Evancho Continues Her Comeback with Another Joni Mitchell Cover

America’s Got Talent Season 5 runner-up Jackie Evancho continues to release new music, this time with a cover of Joni Mitchell’s song “A Case of You.” This is Jackie’s third cover of Mitchell’s songs, and the second this year.
Jackie Evancho Releases ‘A Case of You’ Cover
Jackie recently returned to music after taking a break from the spotlight for her mental health. In June of this year, she made her return by releasing a music video for her cover of Mitchell’s iconic song “Both Sides Now.”
Previously, in 2020, Jackie covered Mitchell’s song “River.” Now she’s sharing a rendition of “A Case of You,” from Mitchell’s 1971 album Blue, showing off her angelic voice. According to People, Jackie plans to release an album called Carousel of Time, featuring all Joni Mitchell covers.
“Stepping into the world of Joni Mitchell was inspiring and a pleasure to say the least,” the 22-year-old singer said of the project. “I had a lot of fun learning more about Joni Mitchell through her music, as well as finding ways to make it my own.”

Jackie Has Hinted at Songwriting
In addition to releasing covers, Jackie recently hinted that she was working on original music. In a post on Instagram earlier this week, she wrote, “Eager to share more of me with song writing. It’s a wonderful thing!”
Jackie recently announced an upcoming concert on July 24 Ocean City, New Jersey. She’ll be performing at the Ocean City Music Pier with the Ocean City POPS Orchestra. The singer said she’ll be singing “all of my favorite songs, and some of the new songs from an album that I’ll be releasing very soon.”
People reports that Carousel of Time will be released later this summer. We can’t wait to hear what else Jackie has up her sleeve, and to learn when she’ll be sharing original music.
