Jack Vidgen first appeared on Australia’s Got Talent in 2011. He immediately got the judge’s attention when he announced that he would be singing “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston. A tough song for a 14-year-old to sing, but Jack blew them away. All three judges predicted that he would be the winner of the season. Which they were right about!

Jack Vidgen Auditions for ‘The Voice’

After he won ‘AGT,’ Jack decided to take a five-year hiatus from singing, but wanted to come back and give his singing career a second chance. He auditioned for The Voice Australia in 2019. Singing Adele’s iconic song “Hello,” he got four chair turns from the judges. He chose Guy Sebastian as his coach for the season. They automatically asked him why he took a break from singing where he admitted that he fell out of it and lost his passion for it.

“I wasn’t enjoying it and wasn’t loving singing for people anymore,” he said.

He also told them that he never thought he would perform on a stage again especially after receiving death threats from multiple online bullies.

The talented singer was able to continue strongly in the competition just like his first time on ‘AGT.’ Except this time he didn’t make it all the way as a winner. Vidgen continued through to the Semi-Finals where he was eliminated after singing “You Are the Reason.”

Jack Joins ‘The Champions’

Jack wants to continue his dreams of becoming a professional singer. He moved on to perform on Americas Got Talent and competed on Americas Got Talent: The Champions impressing everyone even judge Simon Cowell.

Jack shows that he still has the same talent nine years later. He performed “I Am Here” by Sia. Even though the judges praised him, Cowell told him that he felt he could have sung a stronger song choice.

“I think you have an extraordinary voice but that was way too safe,” he said. “I think you are way, way better than that so I’m hoping the super fans vote you through to the next round because there’s way more to come from you, way more.”

Unfortunately, he was not voted to go on in the competition and did not make it to the next round.

Jack got to perform at Australia Decides in 2020. He performed “I Am King I Am Queen” where he hoped that it would earn him the chance to perform at Eurovision. During his time there, he had a lot of strong competition including pop star Vanessa Amorosi and Australian Idol powerhouse Casey Donovan.

He’s currently been posting on social media updating his 50 thousand followers that he hopes he can sing in front of a crowd again. For now, he is using his good looks to do some modeling jobs.
