Billie Eilish Is a Huge Fan of ‘American Idol’
During his recent radio interview with Eilish, Seacrest mentioned that Finneas will appear on American Idol this Sunday. Eilish said she wasn’t even aware that her brother would be on the show until the other day, and she was excited to hear the news.
“We spent our childhoods watching that every time it was on,” Eilish said during her On Air appearance. “We would vote on the phone. I’d get the home phone, I’d boop boop boop boop, over and over and over again. Over and over again.”
The 19-year-old also shared that she dreamed of auditioning for American Idol when she turned 16. But as Seacrest pointed out, “You didn’t need any help.” Eilish’s debut album, When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, won Album of the Year at least year’s Grammys.
Finneas to Mentor the ‘American Idol’ Top 5
Finneas has written and produced music for his sister, as well as recording his own. In 2019, he released an EP called Blood Harmony. Finneas will be performing his song “Till Forever Falls Apart” with collaborator Ashe during next week’s episode of American Idol.
The 23-year-old will also act as a mentor for the Top 5 contestants on Sunday night’s show. The contestants will be performing original music during the episode, with the help of producers Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Ian Fitchuk, and Ross Copperman.
This will be the last chance to get your favorite artists to the finale, so make like Billie Eilish and vote this Sunday.
