Former One Direction star Zayn Malik did not disappoint with his latest album Nobody is Listening. One thing fans cannot help but notice is how many references there are in his music to his baby mama Gigi Hadid. Is this superstar couple engaged after welcoming a daughter in September?

In the sexy song “When Love’s Around,” Zayn drops some lyrics about the special lady in his life. “But I need you in my life / Yeah, you could be my wife for real / Only takes a woman / To show you what it means to love” Zayn sings in the song. This could definitely be a hint to a future engagement to the Victoria’s Secret model. Or, the pair could already be engaged after having a huge year.
“Zayn and Gigi’s relationship is better than ever — their communication, the time they spend together. They’ve never looked happier,” a source told Us Weekly in October 2020. “Gigi has really leaned into motherhood and is enjoying every second. She’s turning down business opportunities so that she can spend the first year with her baby. Gigi is a natural when it comes to mothering. Other’s speculated a proposal is on the horizon for the couple.
The pair have been dating on and off since 2015. Zayn was previously engaged to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards for two years.

Other little hints or clues that point to the couple being engaged is the fact that Gigi wore a ring on her ring finger during a recent Instagram live session. Several fans pointed this out over on Twitter and began to speculate.
In May 2020, Zayn and Gigi posed for a picture to show off their matching bracelets. In another Instagram post, fans realized that the ‘X Factor’ star had some new ink on his hand. Zayn tattooed a verse on his hand from Kahlil Gibran’s poem called On Marriage. “Sing and dance together and be joyous but let each one of you be alone. Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping. Stand together, yet not too near together; For the pillars of the temple stand apart. And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow” the tattoo says.
