Huntley Couldn’t Believe He Won The Voice
In an exclusive interview following the live Season 24 finale, freshly crowned The Voice winner Huntley described his disbelief hearing host Carson Daly call his name. Despite being up against the talented 16-year-old Ruby Lee in the competition, Huntley expressed gratitude for making the finals. Coach Horan also joined to celebrate Team Niall’s second consecutive victory.
“Honestly, I was so surprised,” Huntley said. “Ruby is so talented, I thought it was right [if she won] too. When my name got called, I genuinely couldn’t believe it.”
Huntley credits his fully committed attitude. Despite his demanding day job and family life, Huntley says he gave a hundred percent effort throughout the entire process. Having competed in a similar competition show in the past, Huntley knew how crucial it is to have a mentor.
According to Huntley, Horan far surpassed expectations as a dedicated coach. From co-writing songs to providing guidance amidst the chaos of reality TV filming, Horan made himself consistently available. Given Horan’s hectic touring schedule across the globe, Huntley was extremely grateful for his present focus and support.
