Howie Mandel finally addressed his viral TikTok on his podcast, sort of. Instead of a formal apology, he expressed his fear of cancellation. It seems like the comedian is afraid of producing comedy because he’s not sure how the world will react.

America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel recently got candid about his fear of comedy in his most recent episode of his “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast. Mandel eased into his fear of cancellation during a conversation about flying to an event with the show’s guest, Joel McHale.

McHale created a fake scenario for the cohost of the podcast, asking if he’d go to an event far away if he had to fly commercial. The beloved comedian explained that he probably wouldn’t go, not because of the germs, but because of his traveling anxiety.

“I’m really nervous about traveling and I’m nervous about comedy now,” he said. “I’m nervous that I’m going to get canceled. I’ve almost been canceled a couple times this year.”

Howie Mandel Acknowledges His TikTok Slip Up

As many know, Mandel was recently under fire for his graphic TikTok featuring a rectum prolapse. The video reportedly racked in over 3 million views while it was live on the app. Once it circulated on TikTok, people began commenting on the nature of the issue. The video was so popular that the comedian’s name trended on Twitter, due to newly created memes. These memes included many people saying that the video popped up on the app’s “For You Page” and they regretted looking at it.

Reaction videos, memes, and parodies created by fans gained almost as many videos as the original video on the app. Mandel hasn’t addressed his slip up on social media, but fans are begging for it.

It seems like Mandel didn’t receive any form of punishment from the app. Instead, Mandel has made it clear that he’s watching what he says online. Within the podcast, Mandel states that he’s “afraid of comedy” because he is “behooved to networks and brand campaigns.”

Mandel remains active on all forms of social media following his recent viral TikTok. Many think the comedian has tried to move on entirely from the slip up by ignoring it ever happened. We’re interested to see if Mandel’s content changes while he’s attempting to avoid cancellation.
