How to Vote For Your Favorite Acts on Citytv’s ‘Canada’s Got Talent’
Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Canada’s Got Talent competition is finally down to the semifinal performances. Canadian fans saw multiple great performances on Tuesday night’s semifinal episode. Here’s how to vote for your favorite acts.
It’s now time to vote for your favorite acts in the Canada’s Got Talent show. Nine acts returned to the stage with bigger and better performances in the first semifinal round. Fans are still able to vote for their favorite contestants from this episode on Citytv. Voting is only open for fans located in Canada.
At this time, the only way to vote for your favorite contestants is to visit the network’s’ website, there is no call/phone or social media options. Upon arriving on the website, contestants from the episode will appear (when the voting window is open). Voting from both desktop and mobile browsers will be counted. The voting window is open 24 hours following each semifinal episode.
Out of the nine semifinal acts, judges have picked two to send directly into the finale. The two acts already are GRVMNT dance crew and stand up comedian Courtney Gilmour. The audience will vote directly on the remaining seven acts.
While the voting window is open fans are able to cast three votes for their favorite acts. This amount is regulated through the use of a login system. Before voting, the website will prompt the user to login or create an account using either and email address or Facebook account.
How Will Voting Change for The Finale?
Finale voting will follow suit to the semifinals with one difference. The voting window opens at the beginning of the episode and concludes ahead of the winner announcement. The winner will be announced during the finale.
Eight acts will continue into the finale following the semifinal rounds. Four of these acts were picked by judges, while the other four were picked by the Canadian audience. Fans will have to vote wisely in the finale since they still will only be able to cast three ballots.
If public vote ends with a tie between two contestants, the CGT judges will pick the overall winner. The Canada’s Got Talent finale airs on Tuesday, May 18 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Citytv. Beloved Got Talent judge Simon Cowell will appear alongside regular judges Howie Mandel, Trish Stratus, Kardinal Offishall, and Lilly Singh.

I went to Citytv.com and was looking to open an account to vote. There is no register for opening an account to vote??? They ask to sign in through TV Provider and give a list, none of which are mine. So how do we get an account to vote!! Not a fair voting system if there are Canadians like myself who are left out of the voting due to not being able to open an account to vote.
I wanted to vote. The show is still going on TV and the site says that voting is closed!
