The Voice coach Gwen Stefani has been teasing new music for her fans on social media. Recently, she shared a snippet of a new song called “Somebody Else’s,” before announcing the release date for her new album Bouquet.
Last week, Stefani shared a brief clip on social media in which she can be seen in the recording studio. The video teases part of a new song. According to a lyrics sheet visible in the clip, the new track is called “Somebody Else’s.”
“I don’t know what a heart like mine was doing in a love like that,” Stefani sings. “And doing in a love so bad / But I know, I know, I know, I know now / I don’t know what a woman like me was doing with a man like you / But now I got a love so true.”
Some fans are speculating that the song is about her marriage to Gavin Rossdale. The two were married for 14 years and had three kids together before divorcing in 2016. Stefani went on to marry her The Voice co-star Blake Shelton in 2021.
Stefani also posted a video featuring the new song in a clip showing her typing a reminder on her phone to “add marigolds to my bouquet.” Other recent posts that seem to be teasing new music include a clip of a flower blooming and a throwback photo of Stefani smelling a flower.

Stefani Announces New Album Bouquet
Stefani has been hinting at a new album for months now. Her last non-Christmas album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, was released in 2016. In February of this year, Stefani said her fellow The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson inspired her to write music in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The singer released the song “Purple Irises” — a duet with Shelton — earlier this year. However, she has teased that she has even more music for an entire album. On Wednesday, the singer finally shared that her new album Bouquet will be available November 15.
The album’s tracklist includes “Somebody Else’s” (releasing on Friday), “Purple Irises,” and eight more songs — including “Marigolds,” “Late to Bloom,” and “All Your Fault.” The album cover shows Stefani wearing a cowboy hat and holding a flower as she lounges on a bed.
In the meantime, fans can celebrate the 20th anniversary of Stefani’s debut solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby by ordering a limited edition vinyl, also available this November.
