Former Dancing with the Stars pro Sasha Farber recently gave an update on his former celebrity partner Selma Blair following her arrest earlier this month. Farber shared that Blair is “doing great.”
Sasha Farber Gives Update on Selma Blair
Actress Selma Blair competed on Season 31 of DWTS in 2022 with pro dancer Sasha Farber. They made it to Week 5, at which point Blair had to withdraw from the competition due to health concerns related to her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
Blair was arrested earlier this month and charged with two counts of second-degree assault following an alleged altercation on a Delta Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New York City in which she is accused of punching one flight attendant and biting another. Blair appeared in court the following day, pleading not guilty.
While attending the 2026 Dancers Against Cancer’s Gala of the Stars earlier this week, Farber spoke about Blair, telling People, “I have been talking to Selma. She’s doing great and I’m thinking of her.”
“We are family. She is literally my family,” Farber said of his continued connection to Blair four years after they competed on DWTS together. He added of the show’s impact, “The people that you get to meet, they become your family for the rest of your life.”
Blair’s Rep Says She Experienced a ‘Medical Emergency’
In a statement about Blair’s arrest, her spokesperson shared, “Since Sunday night, the public account of what happened to Selma aboard a flight to New York has been built almost entirely on a police statement and a decade-old headline.”
Her rep went on to say that Blair “experienced a medical emergency on the flight,” denying claims that the actress attempted to open the plane’s door mid-flight. They added, “Selma did not intend to harm anyone.”
