Shawn Johnson Competed on DWTS Season 8, Season 15

Johnson became a celebrity competitor on DWTS back in 2009, partnered with professional dancer Mark Ballas. This pair impressed the judges, enough to win the season overall.

At the time, she was the youngest winner of in the show’s history and won by less than one percent against Gilles Marini. After winning the Mirrorball trophy once, she would make another run in the show’s fifteenth season partnered with Derek Hough.

It’s been nearly ten years since her last performance in the ballroom and she once again donned her old costumes on social media. While doing a spin, the video cuts to her wearing all of the previous dresses and costumes once used in her iconic DWTS run.

The video is on her husband’s Instagram account, whose content is mainly about their lives as a couple together. Johnson’s former season 15 dance partner, Hough commented his surprised reaction, asking how she was able to keep all of the costumes.

What We Know About the Upcoming Season 32 of the Show

Season 32 of the hit dancing competition is on the way, and although little information is out, it’s never too early to know what’s coming up. As for when it will air, an exact date has not yet known, but we can expect it to possibly air in spring 2023.

Around the same time as the celebrity cast are announced, the professional dancers will also be revealed. Normally, the pairings are revealed at that time as well, but in recent seasons, the show has delayed the announcement of the teams until the premiere.

One pro who is definitely not returning is Cheryl Burke, who retired after Season 31. Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy is due to give birth in January with her and Val Chmerkovskiy‘s first child will most likely sit out the upcoming season as well. Similarly, Lindsey Arnold and Witney Carson are both expecting their respective second children. While Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov revealed that they would become parents for the first time, two days after the Season 31 finale.
