FIRST LOOK: ‘The Masked Singer’ Season 5 Costumes Are Revealed
Reading Time: 3 minutes
The Masked Singer is returning for season 5! And the promos are already promising crazier surprises and more legends than ever. That starts with a preview of The Masked Singer season 5 costumes! These new digs are impressive.
Let’s take a look at the new costumes who will be competing for the Golden Mask Trophy!
Grandpa Monster Mask
After the Monster won season one, we’ve seen Miss Monster, Thingamajig, Whatchamacallit, and the Squiggly Monster. Now, we’ll see the Grandpa Monster! This is a fun twist on the usual Monster Mask. I especially love the tennis balls on the walker. The costume department at The Masked Singer misses no details! I’m going with an early prediction that this won’t be someone very old, like the costume implies.
Chameleon Mask
I have been wanting a Chameleon Mask since The Masked Singer UK had one that literally lit up! This one isn’t quite as epic, but it’s very Elton John. I love the stars and boas throughout the costume. Hopefully the celebrity under the mask can live up to how theatric the costume is!

Phoenix Mask
The preview for season 5 (which you can watch below) shows the Phoenix Mask literally appearing through fire. Now THAT is an entrance! While the face is a little terrifying on this costume, the rest of it is outstanding. The body shape is giving me diva vibes too, so I’m thinking we could see another legendary singer next season. After having Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, and Dionne Warwick on previous seasons, it wouldn’t be a surprise.
More Costumes From The Masked Singer Season 5
In a video preview posted by the show, we see a few other new masks too. Pig Mask is one of them, dressed in plaid shorts, a button-up shirt, suspenders, and a helicopter hat. That has to be someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously! Another looks like a Black Swan, with black feathers in a tutu around her waist and an extravagant red headpiece. Finally, we see a Porcupine Mask (but it could also be a Hedgehog, like on The Masked Singer UK). The Porcupine has the same robotic-looking eye patch as the Rabbit and Fox. Could that be an early hint?
