The finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6 has finally arrived! The queens will have to lay it all on the line. In the final maxi-challenge, Ru invited the finalists to hop on his new song “This is Our Country.” Ginger Minj, Eureka, Kylie Sonique Love, and Ra’Jah all must deliver in this love letter to the USA.

After announcing that they will each be preparing their own lyrics, they were given a special surprise. Grammy winning country singer, Tanya Tucker, appeared on screen in the “Werkroom” to give the finalists some solid advice. The queens each got the opportunity to ask the legend their own questions. In another twist, Ru then asked Tucker herself if she would like to be a part of the song. The legend agreed and the queens screamed in excitement.

“It’s so crazy that all of us are from the south, we all have a connection to country music,” Ra’jah said.

The queens were filmed working vigorously in the “Werkroom” on their lyrics. They also took a moment to discuss the narratives they would each like to portray in their verse.

“When I moved to L.A., I felt like I couldn’t express that part of me, because people would think that I was uneducated,” Kylie Sonique Love said in reference to her country twang.

Ra’jah also decided to incorporate lyrics that shared her perspective on being Black in America.

“We really need to talk about what this country stands for, what it’s supposed to be built on,” she said.

Later on, dancer Jamal Sims worked on some “country-ography” with the queens to go along with their maxi-challenge performance. However, the down south moves didn’t come that easily to the queens in practice.

After rehearsing long and hard, the queens laid it all out on the stage. Accompanied by a number of male dancers dressed as cowboys, they each took their moment to shine on-stage as they performed their verses.

“When a queen is a queen she don’t need no cowboy,” they all sang in the chorus.

It’s safe to say, Ru was very pleased with the work they delivered on “This is Our Country.”
