While the queens were getting ready during the premiere, they received a video message from Lizzo. She told them to look over at the door, where she appeared in person to surprise them. Lizzo said she “went rogue” to talk to them. She congratulated them and offered encouragement.
Later, Lizzo appeared at the judges’ table to watch the queens’ talent show performances and runway looks. At one point, drag queen Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté came down the runway wearing a silvery number similar to Lizzo’s dress. “Bitch stole my look!” the singer joked.
“Don’t be coming for my girl Kornbread!” she said later on when fellow judge Michelle Visage critiqued the queen’s performance. She called her “funny as hell.” Kornbread ended up being named the winner of the first week’s challenge.
At the end of the show, the bottom two queens (June Jambalaya and Orion Story) lip synced to Lizzo’s song “Water Me” for a chance to stay in the competition. Orion Story ended up going home.
